MC Soccer Falls To Palm Beach Atlantic / Jace Aymond

The men’s soccer played their second game in Florida against the Sailfish of Palm Beach
Atlantic but fell 4-1. The Choctaws move to 0-2 while PBA are flipped at 2-0. It was their first
game against the Sailfish since 2014, and only the second meeting ever, with PBA winning both

The Sailfish scored the opening two goals, one in the 26 th minute by Quenzi Huerman,
and the second by Fred Ferreira in the 48 th minute. The Choctaws struck back just a minute later
from a Noah Wagner goal, assisted by Abel Perez. For Wagner, it was his first goal as a Choctaw
after transferring from LSU-Eunice. Unfortunately for the Choctaws, the Sailfish extending their
lead with two additional goals in the 81 st and 82 nd minute by Bicho Barquin and Tim Noeding.

MC put up a massive nine shots in the first half with only two in the second, and five of
those 11 shots were on target. For PBA, they recorded 13 shots with eight on target. Both
Alejandro Chavarria for MC and Albert Escuin for PBA had four saves, with all of them coming
in the first half for the Sailfish.

The Choctaws hope to achieve their first win of the season as they head back home to
Clinton. Harding University will make the trip to Longabaugh Field as kickoff is set for 3:00 this
Friday, September 10.
