There’s some great news Hellbound season 2 is coming online, and it’s making fans worry about the new season of the Netflix original series.
Hellbound is directed by Train for Busan Young Sang-ho, he also wrote and drew the webtoon that inspired the series. The story follows terrible events that unfold throughout society, when people begin to receive decrees from an angular being that they will be sent to hell at a certain time, and when that time comes, three gray monsters similar to the Hulk violently attack a person before forcibly sending them to the underworld so that the dammed will be subjected to eternal torture.
The series premiered at the 2021 Toronto International Film Festival as the 1st Korean drama to be included in the prestigious event. After its first day of release, November 19, 2021, the Korean series tops the #1 slot machine in 24 countries and has already received rave reviews, especially on Rotten Tomatoes.
Hellbound season 2 release date
We may see Hellbound Season 2 released in 2022. The 1st season was filmed from August 2020 to 2021 January. and introduced in 2021 November. So, if work on the second season began before the release of the first on the air, it can start somewhere in late 2022.
The first run ended with a ton of unanswered questions, so it looks like the 2nd season was definitely in my head. However, Netflix is volatile when it comes to ordering extra seasons. Even shows that have been widely opened for 2nd seasons, such as Cowboy Bebop, often cancel out those that lag behind. Despite Hellbound’s popularity, Netflix’s policy could mean that production on Season 2 hasn’t started yet. If that’s the case, we probably won’t see it until 2023.
There are so many things that will hopefully become clearer in the second season. In the last episode, Bae Young Jae and Song Seo Hyun sacrifice themselves to protect their child from the Court. This act calls into question the whole process and word of the New Truth Society. We also see Park Jong-JA, a single mother who was the subject of the first public demonstration, reappear in her apartment five years after she was sentenced to hell.
In Season 2, we are likely to see a kind of cultural civil war, as parts of society reject the teachings of the New Truth Society. We expect Min Hye Jin to be the central character, and we hope to see Detective Yang Ik Jun to tell his story.

PLOT
The new South Korean film is based on the webtun of Yong Sang-ho, the creator of films such as “Train to Busan”, “Telekinesis” and “Fake”.
